I first met Bobby in elementary and we went all through school together. He was a very nice guy. After high school Bobby married Cathie Carroll. Cathie was a year older than us. Bobby and Cathie were both killed in a car accident in Kinston. I can't remember what year they died but I believe it was in the Eighties. They had no children.

Bobby was a good friend! We use to ride together in his mustang, going to LCCC. It was great fun. We use to take turns bringing cigs that we somehow lifted from our parents.
He was a super nice guy and all that knew him will never forget him.

Ella and Johnny described Bobby as I remember him. Someone you were always glad to see and you sensed he felt the same way!

Very genuine.

Bobby was one of the very best friends that I ever had. I first met Bobby at Teacher's Memorial School and by the sixth grade we were very good friends. We were neighbors and our families knew each other well. We played together, we were Boy Scouts together, we shot pool together, took beach trips, talked about girls, cars, music and life. We sat on the bench together during our senior year, as members of the Red Devil football team. Bobby was a loyal friend that I could trust. He loved the great music of the 60's. Every time that I hear "California Girls" by the Beach Boys, I think of Bobby. He and his sweet wife Cathie had to leave us much too soon! Although I never had any biological brothers or sisters, I truly felt that I had lost my brother when Bobby died. Thirty six years later I still miss Bobby and Cathie. Remember Bobby as we meet on October 2nd for our reunion. October 2nd is Bobby's birthday. He would have turned 59 on that day. Bobby and Cathie...We remember and miss you...
