Paul Nelson Puckett Sr., 59, formerly of Kinston, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010. Paul Nelson was born June 11, 1951 in Lenoir County to the late Paul and Carrie Jones Puckett. Services will be held privately. Paul Nelson is survived by two children, Heidi Weeks of Kinston and Paul Nelson Puckett Jr. and wife, Kandice of Kinston; sister, Joan Jacobs and husband, Bob of Louisburg; five grandchildren, Hunter Weeks, Hailey Weeks, Jared Puckett, Kristony Puckett and Kaden Puckett. Memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

Paul was one of my best friends in High School. We had some great times together. I remember he used to see how fast he could get his Dad's car going in the driveway (it's good we grow up a little). I have been watching this site wondering what became of him. I was hoping to see him at the reunion. I don't know why, but I had been thinking of him for the last year. I am so sorry to hear this news. My prayers are with the family.
